Moon's Scars Shine Too

Sometimes I gaze at the moon and wonder how lonely it feels. All for a nightly stand-out, having traded its company and beauty.. Maybe love did that. maybe that's how it got to reflect the sun in itself. Not many have eyes for the moon, its neither spotless nor perfectly-pentavalently-pointed or twinkly, luring the the gazer's eyes..And yet all scarred and imperfect, it hangs the lowest and shines the brightest; lightening up everything its beam touches.
What it does for the sun is phenomenal,  so much for having the sun lend some of it to the moon. and this appears to be pretty much all it needs. may it be a desperate attempt by the moon to have a bit of the sun to call its own,.
But I have seen no other planet reflect a star this way.

The Three Veils Behind My Creation

Quoting the word of God;
Chapter 39, verse 6:
"He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three veils. That is Allah , your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?"

"Within three veils", that is my point of interest. Since my field of study is ''Life", this left me awe-struck. As a brain wave bridged the connection between this verse, and what I had been studying lately. The three veils happened to be the three germ layers from which an entire being develops.

Here's how:

  • Ectoderm, the outermost veil, becomes the skin and nervous system. that includes the nerve cord and brain
  • Endoderm, the innermost veil, becomes the digestive system, the viscera.
  • Mesoderm, the sandwiched veil, becomes the blood, muscles and bones.

This calls for a re-quote.."There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?"
The genius of God goes unparalleled!!

This I comprehended was God's way

It deeply impressed my intellect as I comprehended (so to say) another of God's manner. Amused, i realised that He made the brightest of stars sink, in order to help the most unnoticeable ones shine. in the same manner, He  made all my cards go down, to uncover the undiscoverable parts of my soul.
How initially unintelligible for me it was to even realise that the seemingly darkest spots of my soul possessed the capacity to gleam so bright.

How indebted i am to God.

Hussein in Karbala: His Wondrous Conduct

The word of God explains that, God tests mankind through five ways: fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and possessions. They are inflicted, but one at a time, never simultaneously, leaving spaces to breathe amongst each. With the storm abated whilst the burden is removed.
To quote the word of God:
And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the patient, Who says, when afflicted with calamity: “To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return”: They are those on whom (descend) Blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. (Al-Baqarah 2:155-157)

The incident of Karbala stands out in the pages of history, gleaming with the conduct of Imam Hussein (May Allah be pleased with him), unlike other records of heroic conducts by men of all times. The reason, for his specialty, is owned by the time frame in which all five tests were bestowed upon him without a moment's respite.
His patience, total submissiveness, and steadfast execution shall go unparalleled for all the times to come. Thus making him by no means an ordinary man.

Every Light Casts a Shadow

One of the greatest lessons we get to learn in life is that we are often attracted to a bright light in another person.  Initially, this bright light is all we can see because its so appealing it seems just right.  But after a while, as our eyes acclimatise, we notice that this light has its shadow - usually just as large as its brightness.
When we encounter this shadow, we have two choices: We can either shine our own light on the shadow or we can run from it continuing our search for a shadowless one.

If we run from the shadow, we invariably decide to run away from the light that created it.  And we soon find out that our light is the only light illuminating the space around us.  Then, at some point, as we look closer at our own light, noticing something out of the ordinary - Our light is casting a shadow too. And that too a bigger and darker one than some of the other shadows we've seen.

But IF, on the other hand, instead of running away from the shadow, we walk towards it, something amazing happens. Our own light, lights the shadow, and likewise, the light that created this shadow casts its light on ours. Hence, both the shadows begin to disappear.  Not completely, of course, as both contemplate each other. As a result every part of the two shadows illumined, disappear.
In the end, we find more of that bright beautiful light in the other – which is precisely what we have been searching for all along.

When things go Wrong

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill.
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile, but have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must but do not quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As everyone of us sometimes learn.
And many a failure turns about.
when you might have won had you stuck out.
Dont give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out.
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and you can never tell how close you are;
it may be near when it seems so far;
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
Its when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Quaid-e-Azam M.A.Jinnah; We are Forever Indebted to Thee

Those who are familiar with the Quranic verses, know the narration of events relating to Prophet Khidr (PBUH) and Prophet Moses (PBUH) , when on their quest, Prophet Khidr rebuilt the wall which had treasure belonging to the orphans buried underneath, though the people had mistreated them. When the Prophet Moses (PBUH) no longer could contain it within himself and inquired the reason contained in this deed of his; despite the begotten ill-treatment. Although this was the decisive parting betwixt the two. He explained how good a man the orphans' father had been. so when the orphans grew up, and would be in real need of the treasure, the wall would then collapse and they shall collect the buried goods.
Thus God ensured the children's access to the treasure by virtue of the father's moral excellence and righteousness.

No doubt few individuals significantly alter the course of history. Fewer still modify the map of the world. Hardly anyone can be credited with creating a nation-state. Muhammad Ali Jinnah did all three!
And so it happens now that we The Nation shall reap the fruit that Jinnah's deeds have sown.  Not only making us incessantly indebted to him but also extremely fortunate. And that means irrespective of the international mega minds that plot ways of bringing this nation down like a house of cards the tornados and hurricanes they send this way are in vain. since that is never going to happen.
Hence no power on earth can undo Pakistan. For Pakistan has Jinnah for a head. All in all God shall ensure our safety and treasures, for Jinnah had been the noblest of his kind.
A word of advice for the-enemy; give up already!

Vive la Pakistan!!

The Concept of death

Death, a word so scary, you do not want it uttered within your audible range; despite the fact that there are so many struck down each day. Anyhow all it has for an ordinary mind is an absolute darkness and a total, final end. Perhaps its just enough.
Have a look at it this way. Explaining it let me present an example. i own a silver coin. as long as i carry it, it has a purpose of serving me whilst i trade. it had a purpose it was entrusted with and  served it much the same. once i let go off it, its gone, say, forever from me. in crude words, it has died for me. Nevertheless, its not the end of the story. since it was of silver composition, it might serve its new owner after certain changes to it as say a piece of jewellery? or a catalyst if it ends up on the palm of a chemist. it will continue evolving from one form to another; however each time with a different purpose and a different form. who knows.
Its just the same with the living souls, ever since they proclaimed an oath to the Lord and ever since they were assigned their tasks; got blown into the bodily self and then sent to the world to serve that purpose. once we cross the stage called death, the cycle continues. The soul remains the, circling through. each time with a different purpose assigned. the point to ponder over now is how connected i am with my soul or am i at all? Why do i get to be K. Fatima., I'm left to wonder where am i positioned.

Human beauty in its simplest form, is like a treasure chest, While it may be attractive and alluring on the outside, what is truly desiring and attractive, is what's inside. A treasure chest without treasure is not worth keeping.

A Humanity Call

In the current state of play, the drama of power politics as I call it, i.e, merely setting the stage, and controlling the act. I see each country actively participating in its politics. Voicing their opinions, and likewise defending their articles of faith at a moment's call.
The rising unemployment, the ever steeping graphs of resources shortening, limited supplies of daily essentials, and the complaints of self conscious people who are denied and deprived of their rights. these are just the starters which lead to the execution of people's sentiments.
Question is, what am I on? My point is, its next to never that a person wonders how is it that we have a relatively sound sleep with a full sense of protection.though generally speaking i am. and apart from our own selfish causes that inhabit our minds deep inside. But that sense of security is what my point is inclined towards. Nobody wakes up in the morning and upon looking through the window find their country brought down like a house of cards.
Let me tell you a hard core reality, we tend to put up a face that is tolerant, caring, anti-war, anti-terrorist and what not. Still more, we do not like the exposure of the ''me-first'' syndrome every soul is possessed with.

So, if you cant cross your circle of life that you so proudly remain enclosed in.then just get a grip of the rim and peep beyond it,  for a while full. What nobody tells us, the media, and other sources but primarily the media, is that we are constantly at war. While we enjoy our restful nights there are soldiers at the boundaries, defending. and in that defense they are struck down. And when late in the night, when nobody is about, their bodies arrive, trucks full I tell you, wrapped in there nation's flag.

They were the the ones who did not turn their backs on the battlefield.

But who were they? They had been the only hope for their aging parents, their strength. who had seen them grow up before their eyes. they could have been the ones who were their only support. Some might have just stared a family, with plans about the future, and some still were newly wed.

I ask you now, why cant weapons be dropped at each front? why cant hands be shaken? why cant we live and let live?  Since I have this gut feeling that all of us shall be held answerable.

Only if we could step out of ourselves for causes greater than our own. Its more of a humanity call this time than a peace one. It could mean smiles on the faces that have forgotten even the art of it. If everyone joins hand in hand standing as one, then we could make our voices heard in the counsels of the world..
